Affordable Learning Solutions Faculty Showcase, Oct. 29

Key date: Wednesday, October 29, 2014 - 12:00 to 13:30
Location: LIB 121

Academic Affairs invites faculty concerned with the high cost of textbooks and instructional materials -- and the potential it may deter students from purchasing them -- to attend a kick-off event for SF State's Affordable Learning Solutions (AL$) initiative from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in LIB 121.

SF State faculty who have already successfully lowered the cost of learning for their students will share their success and answer questions about their experience and the impact on students. Participants will also learn about an opportunity to propose their own affordable learning projects that reduce costs for students. Funding from $100 to $2,500 is available depending on the scale of the effort and the anticipated impact on students.

Lunch will be provided, so those interested are asked to RSVP at http://tinyurl.com/als-showcase For more information on the CSU's AL$ initiative, visit http://als.csuprojects.org/
